Assemblies

We deliver a rich and purposeful Assembly Programme that runs throughout the academic year and forms a key part of our personal development and character education at Mossbourne Fobbing Academy. Each week, students take part in an assembly led by members of the Senior Leadership Team, Heads of Year, subject leaders, or our student leadership group, focusing on one of our Federation or national themes.
Our assemblies are designed to inform, inspire, and connect—covering topics such as safeguarding, attendance, diversity, mental health, democracy, community, and wellbeing. They draw clear links to PSHE, RSE, SMSC, Citizenship, and British Values, helping students to deepen their knowledge, empathy, and sense of responsibility.
Every assembly reinforces our core values of Excellence, No Excuses, and Unity, encouraging students to uphold high standards, take responsibility for their actions, and support one another as part of a strong, inclusive community. Assemblies also build understanding of our eight character traits, providing time to pause, reflect, and think deeply about themselves, their world, and how they can make a positive contribution to it.
Through opportunities for student voice, celebration, and collective reflection, our assemblies strengthen the sense of belonging and shared purpose that defines life at Mossbourne Fobbing Academy.
